The Economic Conference will be held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel on 9 November 2023. It aims to enhance economic cooperation, trade, and investment between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab world with the African nations for a more prosperous, equitable, and stable economic future. The conference reflects Saudi Arabia’s strong commitment to building and strengthening its ties across the African continent, which will continue to play a vital role in the global economy.
The conference aims to strengthen the Saudi-African partnership in a number of economic and investment aspects, including achieving food security; strengthening agricultural, industrial, mining, and commercial partnerships, as well as concluding new partnerships between African and Saudi entities. It also aims at supporting efforts to enhance intra-trade between the Kingdom and the African continent, and creating a platform for exporters and importers from both sides.
The conference will provide a platform for both development banks, and international and regional development programs to discuss enhanced engagement between the two regions. It will also nurture opportunities in the energy sector that are feasible to implement in the African continent to enable economic growth, fill capacity and financing gaps, and spur public-private sector engagement for greater collaboration.
The conference will bring together an elite group of Saudi, Arab, and African government ministers and officials; financial, business, and investment leaders from the government and private sectors; trade federations, international organizations; and prominent figures in academic circles and think tanks.
