The General Authority for Investment (SAGIA) has launched more than 23 electronic services in cooperation with 10 government and private entities through the e-transformation program, which aims to facilitate procedures and reduce the timeframe for transactions in record time.
The project of linking the SAGIA system with the regulations of the Ministry of Trade and Investment, which is one of the initiatives of the General Authority for Investment in the National Transformation Program, provides unified licensing services to facilitate procedures for foreign investors to issue the necessary licenses to start practicing their investment activities in the Kingdom.
The Authority's link with the Ministry of Finance's "e-Government Procurement System" portal has enabled the Investment Authority to compete through the portal and implement all government procurement and competition.
SAGIA is the first government entity to link electronically to a competition portal, with "SEMA" Investor Credit Information Company and Thomson Reuters mass media and information firm.
SAGIA is working to adopt the best practices and techniques that will facilitate investors to do business in the Kingdom, as it continuously seeks to develop its services and raise the level of quality and provide innovative solutions integrated to meet the expectations and aspirations of investors. This step attests to the Authority's commitment to supporting the vision 2030 and the national transformation program in order to contribute to economic diversification, attract investments and make the Kingdom among the countries attracting investment.
