This opportunity entails operating an interactive museum and 4D hall in Okaz City.
Okaz city is a new development that aspires to become an oasis of culture and heritage and that provides a remarkable experience for visitors through high quality facilities for leisure, entertainment, meetings, business and accommodation. It is the home of the largest Arab pre-Islamic souk that is known for being a hub for art and poetry.
Located between Makkah and Taif, in new Taif City, Okaz City brings back historic Arab glory and authenticity. The close proximity to the new Taif airport, a new gateway for pilgrims, makes Okaz City a destination with immense potential of becoming a regional touristic attraction.
The Saudi Arabian Government has prioritized Okaz City and has allocated a special budget for fast track implementation. Development of the Souk Okaz project is planned over four phases. Operations to start in 2021.
The museum will be one of the state-of-the art and innovative edutainment facilities, where visitors and local residents will learn about Okaz City in a dynamic, fun and interactive manner. The museum will blend modern and up-to-date technology (e.g. 2D and 3D augmented reality, interactive devices, smart glasses) with Okaz City history, its legends, traditions, nature and culture from ancient times until today.
The number of visitors to the interactive museum is expected to exceed 800,000 visitors per year by 2040. The number of visitors to the 4-D immersive Hall is expected to exceed 1.1 million visitors by 2040.
